Arsenal summer signing Fabio Vieira has hailed his Gunners manager Mikel Arteta.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Vieira said that he has a good relationship with his new boss, who has guided Arsenal to the top of the Premier League.
Next up for the Gunners is a trip to Southampton and they are looking to continue their run of winning every single game this season – apart from one.
Vieira on Arteta
“The communication is easy [with Arteta],” he said of the man who brought him to the Emirates Stadium this summer in a transfer swoop which seemed to come out of nowhere.
“I like Mikel, he’s a good coach. The way he talks with the players is amazing. Everyone understands what he wants. Everyone knows what he wants for the team. For me it’s easy to play for a coach like this.
“Sometimes when I’m on the bench, you can see him. You can see him from the bench or from the pitch – very emotional, you know?
“But this is part of him. As a coach this is important. He only wants to help us, and he wants the best for the players.”
Vieira has largely had to be content with Europa League football so far, but he has scored a Premier League screamer against Brentford.
Arteta’s team is playing so well that there are not too many opportunities for him to get in right now, but they will come, with the games mounting up.
Vieira offers quality and vision to this Arsenal midfield and the early evidence suggests that when he gets more Premier League opportunities, he will take them.
