Indian Super League (ISL) side, ATK Mohun Bagan on Monday confirmed the signing of striker, Dimitrios Petratos as they look to strengthen their forward line following the departures of star players, Roy Krishna and David Williams.
Petratos brings load of experience with him considering that he has represented Australia in the 2018 World Cup and has played in countries like Australia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Malaysia so far during his career.
The 29-year-old is expected to lead the ATK Mohun Bagan attack alongside the likes of Liston Colaco, Manvir Singh, Ashique Kuruniyan and Kiyan Nassiri who are considered to be among the best Indian forwards in the league.
This will be the first time that Petratos will be playing in India and head coach, Juan Ferrando will hope that he can make the same impact as that of the other strikers that have represented the Indian footballing giants in the past.
The Australian becomes the Mariners’ third foreign signing of this summer, following the arrivals of Brendan Hamill and Florentin Pogba.
