‘Back on track’: Klopp says Arteta has worked wonders with £100,000-a-week player

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta for getting midfielder Granit Xhaka back on track, as quoted on the club’s official website.

Klopp made the comments about Xhaka ahead of the Premier League match between Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League this weekend.

The £100,000-a-week (Spotac) Switzerland international midfielder is likely to start for Arsenal against Liverpool on Sunday.

LIVERPOOL BOSS JURGEN KLOPP ON ARSENAL MIDFIELDER GRANIT XHAKA

Klopp said: “Brought Xhaka back on track.”

IMPORTANT PLAYER FOR THE GUNNERS

In our opinion, Granit Xhaka has established himself as an important player for Arsenal and is one of the first names on the teamsheet now.

The Switzerland International is playing regularly for the Gunners at the moment.

And he is playing well.

With Thomas Partey playing in the holding position in the middle of the park, Xhaka is now getting the freedom to play in a box-to-box role.

The 30-year-old midfielder has scored two goals and provided three assists in eight Premier League matches and has played twice in the UEFA Europa League for Arsenal so far this season.

If Arsenal are to win against Liverpool this weekend, then, in our view, Xhaka has to do well.
