‘Fantastic’ 18-year-old who left Arsenal for nothing has now been compared to Eden Hazard after quitting Arsenal

Chelsea snatched Arsenal starlet Omari Hutchinson over the summer and Blues staff have compared him to Eden Hazard in a huge compliment.

Arsenal have really benefitted from their Hale End academy of late.

Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe are first-team regulars and there are similar hopes for others down the ranks.

Charlie Patino, Khayon Edwards and Lino Sousa all have high hopes around them but one top prospect chose to leave Arsenal this summer.

CHELSEA SNATCHED OMARI HUTCHINSON FROM ARSENAL

Attacking midfielder Omari Hutchinson had been thriving in the Arsenal ranks.

17 goals and 16 assists across 46 games for Arsenal’s Under-18’s and Under-21’s showed what a talent Hutchinson was – but other clubs noticed too.

There was huge surprise over the summer as Hutchinson chose to leave Arsenal for London rivals Chelsea.

It’s still unclear just how much Chelsea paid for Hutchinson but the 18-year-old’s move across London was a real stunner.

Arsenal had just lost one of their top prospects and to a key rival, something that left Gunners fans confused and disappointed.

Hutchinson has already hit three goals and three assists in nine Premier League 2 games and is showing his ability in blue rather than red.

The Athletic now claim that Hutchinson has been on Chelsea’s radar for years and they gave him a huge compliment when arriving for his first day with the club.

Staff allegedly showed Hutchinson footage of his own game whilst comparing him to Chelsea hero Eden Hazard.

Hazard will go down as one of Chelsea’s best-ever signings and if Hutchinson can get even close to that level, he will have been an incredible bargain.

Chelsea clearly think that Hutchinson can provide a spark in the final third and he has already been training with the first team.

Hutchinson has been nutmegging teammates and earning advice from Raheem Sterling and Cesar Azpilicueta, so it looks like he feels at home in the Chelsea setup.

Chelsea Under-21 coach Mark Robinson hailed Hutchinson as ‘fantastic’ and if he continues developing at this rate, he will be lining up against Arsenal for first-team football in the not-too-distant future.
