‘He totally changed’: Pep Guardiola in awe of £160,000-a-week Arsenal man

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has told The Manchester Evening News that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Guardiola believes that Arsenal are very much in the race for the title, and thinks that manager Mikel Arteta has changed the Gunners.

Arteta worked as a coach at Manchester City before leaving for Arsenal.

And Guardiola has said that the £160,000-a-week (The Sun) Spaniard has changed Arsenal.

Guardiola said: “Arsenal is already there, many years wasn’t there. Patient with Mikel, he changed not just the team he changed the club.”

TITLE CHALLENGE FROM THE GUNNERS?

In our opinion, Arsenal should aim for the Premier League top four for now, not for the title.

Now, of course, we know that the Gunners are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment.

And the North London club are paying wonderful football and are winning matches consistently.

However, Manchester City have the best and strongest team in England, and the defending champions are the clear favourites for the title.

We think that Arsenal should be realistic about their season for now.

Of course, if by January, the Gunners are still in the lead or just behind Manchester City, then they can seriously consider a title challenge.

But, for now, finishing in the UEFA Champions League places should be the Gunners’ aim.
