Arsenal have enjoyed a fine start to the season, and currently sit top of the Premier League.
After winning their first five matches, they finally tasted defeat on Sunday away at Old Trafford.
Manchester United won the match 3-1, although Arsenal fans will be encouraged by their side’s performance.
One of the players Mikel Arteta introduced off the bench was young forward Eddie Nketiah.
The 23-year-old has been an impact sub so far this season, earning praise from his manager for his cameos.
Nketiah says Cedric is the funniest Arsenal player
Nketiah spoke to Amazon Prime Video and answered some quick-fire questions.
The former England under-21 international was asked all about his Arsenal teammates.
Nketiah was asked was who was the funniest Arsenal player in their All or Nothing Amazon series.
When Nketiah replied, he named Cedric as Arsenal’s funniest player: “I’d say the one that people don’t expect is Cedric.
“Cedric is a really funny guy. I don’t know if they have caught it but watch out for him.”
The £5m Portuguese defender has been on a periphery of the squad this season.
There were reports that Fulham were keen on the 31-year-old at the end of the transfer window.
Cedric now down the Arsenal pecking order
However, he stayed at the Emirates and will now be fighting for the right-back spot at The Emirates.
Last season’s first choice Takehiro Tomiyasu has lost his place to Ben White in the first six games.
This is bad news for Cedric who has been pushed another place down the pecking order.
He filled in at left-back at times last season, but the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko has limited opportunities there as well.
However, if the Portuguese can keep spirits high in the dressing room, then he’s still important to Arteta.
The games start to come thick and fast this week with Arsenal’s Europa League fixtures.
This might give Cedric a chance to show Arteta he deserves more minutes.
