Edu in talks over new Arsenal contract
They say that French champions Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs who have made contact with Edu, trying to turn his head.
Intermediaries have spoken to Edu but he is fully focused on finishing the job he and Arteta have started at the Emirates Stadium.
He wants to sign a new contract and win the Premier League title at Arsenal, something the club has not done since 2003/04.
It remains to be seen which other European clubs have made an early play for Edu, but his focus is seemingly not going to waver.
Going into the World Cup on top of the Premier League table would be huge for Arsenal and credit to the work they have done in recent years.
Then, it is pretty much straight into a January transfer window where some shrewd winter recruits could keep that momentum going.
