‘Really brave’: Jamie Carragher says he loves Arsenal man now, he’s one of the Premier League’s best

Jamie Carragher has said he loves Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, and thinks he’s one of the Premier League’s best managers.

Speaking on Sky Sports Monday Night Football, via Football Daily, Carragher was asked his top three Premier League managers.

To possibly the surprise of some, Carragher named Arteta, and said he loved the Arsenal manager’s braveness.

When asked to list his top three managers, Carragher said: “I would say (Jurgen) Klopp and Pep (Guardiola).

“I think it will be a really sad day when both of those managers leave the Premier League.

“And the other one, I was going through the leagues, I would say Mikel Arteta.

“For a number of reasons, not just because they’re top of the league now.

“More the fact that, I love managers who are really brave and make big decisions and might be unpopular, but I love a manager to make a decision.

“I think what he did with (Pierre-Emerick) Aubameyang, what he did with investing in all the young players.

“He’s had a bit of criticism at times, he’s a young manager, it’s his first job.

“But the way they play, what he’s created now at Arsenal, whether they take it to the next level of winning trophies I don’t know.

“I just like the fact he’s made big decisions.”
