‘Serious questions’: Sky pundit thinks £70,000-a-week Arsenal star could leave

Darren Bent has said on Sky Sports News (1:39pm, September 3, 2022) that Arsenal star Bukayo Saka could leave the Gunners at the end of the season.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker believes that if Arsenal fail to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, then they could lose Saka next summer.

The 20-year-old, who can operate as a midfielder, winger or left-back, is in talks with Arsenal over a new contract, according to The Daily Mail.

The Gunners are reportedly willing to raise Saka’s weekly salary from £70,000 to £150,000, with Manchester City interested in him.

DARREN BENT ON BUKAYO SAKA’S ARSENAL FUTURE

Bent said about Saka on Sky Sports News (1:39pm, September 3, 2022): “If Arsenal finish in the Champions League, I think he stays. If not, I think there are going to be some serious questions.”

NOTHING TO WORRY ABUT

In our opinion, Arsenal fans need not worry about the future of Bukayo Saka.

We do think that the England international will leave the Gunners next summer even if the North London club do not end up in the Premier League top four this season.

Saka has come through the Arsenal academy and is only 20.

Yes, of course, all ambitious footballers want to play in big competitions and win major trophies.

But, let’s not forget that Saka is only 20.

The attacker is mature enough to understand that he will have lots of chances to play in the UEFA Champions League in the coming years.

Saka is unlikely to push for a move away from Arsenal next summer even without no UEFA Champions League football next season.
