Manchester United knocked out Reading in the FA Cup fourth round through goals from Casemiro and Fred at Old Trafford and progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
After dominating the first half, Casemiro’s brace got the Red Devils going in the second, while Fred came off the bench to add a third.
Casemiro has become a Manchester United hero in recent games and has been performing at a high level since joining from Real Madrid.
Erik ten Hag’s men took the lead shortly after the break, with Casemiro latching onto Antony’s through ball into the box and scooping it over Lumley and into the back of the net.
And the Red Devils doubled their lead on 59 minutes when Casemiro smashed a shot from around 25 yards, which flew into the corner with Lumley perhaps unsighted by Tom McIntyre’s attempts to head the shot clear.
